Finish What You Started

You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.Galatians 5:7-8
IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO GET BACK IN THE RACE;
IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing.

It's Time to Organize Your Life

     If there has ever been a time to get it together, it'sNOW! If we look at the times we are living in today, It's no surprise that there are many people who live their lives in a state of chaos. King David understood that his time was winding down, that's why in the book of Psalms, he asked God to not take His Holy Spirit away from him. David knew that if he was going to live his life for Christ, that only God could help him. And friend, if you and I are going to live our lives as children of God, it is going to take God, Himself, to help us.

It's Time to Pray!

In the times that we live in today, it's a necessity that we pray! For instance, the mall shooting that took place the other week. That was such an unfortunate tragedy....  I know we all heard about the elementary school shooting that took place on Friday. They say that was the worst school shooting in history....That's nothing good to put in our history books!   Innocent children killed! Innocent public workers killed! Our world is wicked. It's a necessity that we pray!

The Have and the Have Nots

My wife and I were on our way back from vacation when we received some disturbing news about someone who was being adversely affected because of their life circumstances. Their situation had caused them to want to commit suicide. As we were talking about the situation my wife made a comment about how people need to stop the madness and focus on what they have.

Well, when I heard that I immediately said“or what they don’t have.”Now I know that sound so crazy, but sometimes you have to focus on what you don’t have in order to realize the blessing that God has given you.

Faith

“Jesus is the answer!” … “Believe in God!” … “Follow me to church!”

Christians also make great claims but are often guilty of belying them with their actions. Professing to trust God and to be His people, they cling tightly to the world and its values. Possessing all the right answers, they contradict the gospel with their lives.With energetic style and crisp, well-chosen words, James confronts this conflict head-on.

It is not enough to talk the Christian faith, he says; we must live it.
